Hello dear friends!
Last week we had Thurs-Sat off for Labour Day (and had to work Sunday to make up for the time off). And so, for the three days, we headed to a wee town called Yangshuo. Getting there and back we took a delightful sleeper bus, with the rows of bunks running the length of the bus. On the way there we were also accompanied by a light infestation of cockroaches. But we made it fine, and after some confusion with bus tickets, even made it home again. Yangshuo’s becoming quite the tourist attraction, and while we were there we took a bamboo raft river cruise, and also took a daytrip to see the Longsheng Rice Terraces. It’s hard to put the scenery into words, so instead I’ll give you a few pictures so that you can see for yourselves…

Pretty, no? So that was a nice weekend away. Got back to Shenzhen around 6am on the Sunday, in time to get back to school for Sunday classes, yay!
What else has been going on? For my birthday a couple of weeks ago, my school sent me a yummy mango cheesecake, will stick a picture up for you too. Weather’s been getting super summery recently, though for the next week there’s thunderstorms forecast, and 23 degrees is feeling rather chilly these days! Don’t really know what else has been going on, actually! I guess that’s it?
