Hi hi from the wonderful Beijing!

Indeed, I made it safe and sound, but my computer won’t connect to the Internet, so that’s a problem. I’m on my phone right now, which is a pain, and I can’t get facebook, but it’s better than nothing! I’ll hopefully connect like this every couple of days for a wee update when possible, but probably no pictures or anything until I locate a decent Internet connection or I will be paying heaps for phone Internets.

Teaching my first class tomorrow at 3pm which will be interesting. By the sounds of it their English is already amazing so I may end up viewing them to death haha but I’m just gone say that as long as I don’t faint out of fright or something it will all be ok. Everyone else here that I’ve met so far is completely lovely, and making hopefully some good friends forum fortunately none of my friends so far are in the same teaching group as me, but I guess new people are on too :p no, I actually had dinner tonight with two of the people in my teaching group and they seem super lovely. So all is going pretty well so far except the Internet issue.

And OH MY GOD it is hot. Like, you probably really don’t need to know this but today walking around campus I felt as if I were bathing iny own sweat. Gross. But it’s fine haha, part of the experience. Anyways it’s like midnight and I have to be up early for 2 hours if Chinese class, so I had better be off to bed. I can’t see anything on Facebook at all right now but if you leave me a message here I can read that. Also, apologies for the typos, hopefully you can understand what I’m saying, my iPhone will freeze the web page if I try to make corrections, so anything weird iwoe other fat fingers or autocorrect. Haha that sentence was a great example. Anyways, I must be off. Night!!
